low tox copy

Children are repeatedly exposed to a whole host of toxic chemicals through the food they eat, the air they breath, the water they drink, household products and industrial chemicals. The constant exposure to manmade chemicals plays a role in affecting how genes are expressed and in determining overall health. It is important to be mindful of the amount of chemicals you use in and around the home and the potential dangers they impose.

Simple ways to reduce exposure to toxins:

  • Buy fragrance free soaps, shampoos, conditioner, deodorant and cosmetics
  • Buy fragrance free washing powders
  • Use natural cleaning products such as bicarb soda and white vinegar
  • Avoid air fresheners
  • Drink filtered water
  • Minimise use of chlorinated swimming pools
  • Avoid use of plastic for storing and heating food
  • Avoid reusable plastic water bottles
