Inflammation & Autism – A Holistic Approach with Dr Madiha Saeed

Subscribe on

Today we are talking all about inflammation. Many children on the spectrum experience chronic stress caused by everyday stressors such as transitions, social situations, a diet high in processed food and poor quality sleep. This constant stress day after day can cause inflammation in their little bodies. Eliminating inflammation from the body requires a really holistic approach and this is exactly what we are delving into today!

Today we are talking to the most enthusiastic, most passionate doctor I have ever met! You just can’t help get excited when you hear her speak. Her energy is seriously contagious! Today we are talking to Dr Madiha Saeed an integrative holistic family physician, but most importantly a mother of four boys under the age of nine.

5 Rapid Fire Questions

1. What is one habit parents can implement today?

Gratitude. Immediately when you wake up in the morning say 10 things that you’re grateful for because that will then change your entire outlook on life.

2. What do people never ask you that you wish they did?

‘Why’ they are suffering from the conditions they are. The underlying root cause. Let’s look into the ‘why’ are you suffering from this. When they start asking the questions ‘why?’, that can open an entire world to their internal and external environment.

3. What book would you recommend all parents read?

The Holistic Rx: Your Guide to Healing Chronic Inflammation and Disease by Dr Madiha Saeed.

4. What is your top unfinished bucket list item?

Changing the way all our kids eat. I’m a dreamer. I’m a mother on a mission.

5. If you could only offer one piece of advice to parents, what would it be?

Educate your children on what is happening to their body, especially with the foods that they eat and to teach them that food can either help you or hurt you. So choose those foods that can help those friends in your belly, thrive in your body, survive and heal.
